This guide walks through how Garage Glow Up approaches a garage reset, step by step, so you can understand the process before you even book a walkthrough.

Step 1: Empty and assess

The first move is always a full empty. You cannot organize what you cannot see. We pull everything out, lay it on the driveway or lawn, and group it into four piles: keep, donate, sell, and toss. Most homeowners are surprised by how much they forgot they owned. This is also when we identify hazardous items, broken equipment, and duplicates that have been hiding in the back corners for years.

Step 2: Build zones that match your life

A good garage is organized by activity, not by chance. We set up zones for tools, sports gear, lawn equipment, seasonal decorations, and overflow storage. Each zone gets its own wall or section, with shelving and hooks sized for what actually lives there. The goal is simple: when you need the beach chairs, you know exactly where they are, and when you need the leaf blower, you are not moving three boxes to reach it.

Step 3: Use vertical space

Most garages waste the vertical space above eye level. We install shelving, slat wall, and overhead racks to get bins off the floor and free up the center of the garage for parking. Store-bought shelving can be supplied at a 20% markup, or you can buy your own and we will install it. Custom shelving is quoted separately. Customers are encouraged to provide their own shelves whenever possible.

Step 5: Optional junk haul

If you have items you want gone, we can haul them as part of the job or as a standalone service. Junk haul is priced before we start based on volume, so there are no surprises. We do not dispose of anything you have not approved.

What Garage Glow Up does not do

We are not a garage-door company and not an epoxy flooring company. We organize, declutter, and set up storage. If you need a door repaired or a floor coated, we will tell you to call a specialist for that part.
